The AFC prayer calendar is available both in Chinese and Eng- lish under “what’s new” on the AFC website at www.afcinc.org. 1 Many new stu- dents have arrived at campuses throughout the US and Europe. Pray for the campus fellow- ships as they seek to meet these stu- dents, help them, and share God’s love with them. 2 AFC Board Mem- ber Kun Hua Chen is speaking at the summer retreat of San Ramon Valley Gospel Church this weekend. Pray that the Lord will speak through him to bring many closer to Christ. 3 This weekend Rev. David Chow, AFC Executive Di- rector is attending the North America Mainland Chinese Mission Conference in Austin TX. Pray that he have a profit- able time networking with those attending. 4 Praise the Lord for the many welcome parties and evangel- istic events that were held for new students. Pray that the new students will return to additional meetings. Pray that the seeds planted will grow into fruit. 5 Pray for Faithful Liew who oversees the AFC student center in Baltimore. MD. During this time temporary housing is offered for many new Chinese stu- dents. Pray for op- portunities to show the love of Christ. 6 The MIT Boston fellowship has be- gun working with the Chinese student association to help provide transporta- tion to students. May the Lord use this as an opportunity to show His love and to open a door to the Gospel. 7 Pray that the Lord will open the hearts of the many new stu- dents on campuses throughout the US and Europe. May they be willing to at- tend events and be open to hearing His Word. Pray that they will come to know Christ as Savior. 8 The Chinese Mis- sion Convention Committee is strug- gling with the con- vention budget. We desire to keep the fees low and afford- able but are con- cerned about not meeting the budget. Pray for wisdom. 9 The Love for Life Family Conference team is holding a review of the past conference today. Pray for wisdom from the Lord to know the weak and strong areas of the conference and how to improve for next year. 10 AFC Board Mem- ber Kun Hua Chen is speaking at a Chi- nese Gospel Meet- ing in Denver, CO this weekend. Pray that many will open their hearts and come to know the Lord. 11 AFC Associate Staff Member Paul Alexander suffered a stroke last month. He is recovering but many difficulties re- main for him and his family. Pray for the many changes and decisions that need to be made as a re- sult of his stroke. 12 Thank God for the opportunity to get some literature resources to the in- terior part of a hard to reach country. Pray that God will give wisdom and protection to those carrying these items and that God will use them mightily. 13 During the cele- bration of the visit of the Dali Lama at Univ. of Buffalo on Sept 19, AFC Board Member Deborah Chung is giving a concert-lecture titled Science, Music and Life. Pray during this time of spiritual war- fare. May the Lord prepare hearts for her message. 14 Lynn Moore served selflessly as a volunteer with the AFC literature minis- try for many years. Please pray for her as she struggles with lymphoma. Pray for the Lord’s heal- ing. 15 Praise the Lord for the evangelistic event being held near MIT in Boston this weekend. Pray that this may be a time of harvest of the many souls who do not yet know the Lord. 16 Pray for the Chi- nese Mission Con- vention 2007 (CMC) committee as they meet today in New Jersey. Please pray for the families of AFC staff members, that they will be open to the Gospel. Pray that we will be good witnesses of Jesus’ love. 18 Praise God for several new litera- ture items in the MC Lit. Ministry that we can offer free for special situations. Pray that many will take advantage of this opportunity. Pray that these ma- terials will be greatly used by God. 19 During an event held today at Univ. of Buffalo honoring the Dali Lama, Board Member Deb- orah Chung has the opportunity to share the Gospel. May God protect souls on this campus and use her concert-lecture to draw souls to Him. 20 Praise the Lord for a good singles retreat held in Au- gust in Williams Bay, WI. Praise the Lord that those who at- tended developed meaningful relation- ships and were able to share the week- end together as brothers and sisters in Christ. 21 Pray for the West Coast Singles Re- treat being held Oc- tober 27-29 in Mt. Hermon, CA. Pray that many will regis- ter and attend. Pray that those who come will focus on the Lord and His pur- pose for their lives. 22 Please continue to pray for the seek- ers attending the fellowship at MIT in Boston. Please pray that our LORD will open their eyes more and more, speak to them, and prepare their hearts to submit to Him! 23 Please pray for the spiritual growth of AFC volunteer campus co-workers. Many face chal- lenges in their lives. Pray for physical health, good com- munication at home, strength and re- newed passion to do their work and to serve Him. 24 Please pray for AFC ministry staff to have an adequate circle of friends for the support of their ministry. Many are needing to add to that circle. Pray that the Lord will burden more individuals and churches to share in their campus minis- tries. 25 Praise the Lord, AFC staff Rev. Ger- shom Lee preached on dedication at the Lord’s Grace Chi- nese Church. Twelve believers dedicated their lives to serve the Lord. Pray for revival of this church to reach many Chinese in the Roseville/ Sacra- mento areas. 26 Thank God for a request for 200 cop- ies of Song of a Wanderer to be sent to New Zealand. Pray that good net- working partners can be developed for New Zealand and many other coun- tries of the world. 27 Violet Chen, Bo Cheng, Mona Caris, Betty Erickson, Betty Gast, Gretta Groff, Jane Hostetter, Janet Leaman, Grace Lo, and Nancy Martin serve as volunteers with AFC ministry at the AFC headquarters. Please pray for them. 28 Mary Jane Myers, Adelaide O'Kane, Jim Schrei- ber, Dea Shipley, David Sunden, Marion Sunden, Caleb Weaver, Anne Witmer and others serve as volunteers with AFC ministry at the AFC headquar- ters. Pray that those who attend will accept the challenge to disciple others into a deeper rela- tionship with Christ. 30 Praise the Lord, the Good Friend Fellowship of UC Riverside has invited Dr. Chuck Kwok to preach the gospel and lead the dy- namic discipleship training seminar on Nov. 17-19.
