In line 10 (verses 16–17) the noun Εὔβο]ια is sided by an adjective (καλλίκαρπος), and in lines 12–13 “the country of the Delphians” ([Δελφῶ]ν χώρα) is said to be “holy” and “blessed” (ἱερὰ µάκαιρα) “amid the loud-resounding hymns” 5 E.
