(2012), who state that smartphone applica- tions can influence self-efficacy in diabetes patients so that appli- cations can facilitate the process of self-management and treatment adherence and increase blood glucose control in diabetes patients.23 Self-efficacy has a positive relationship with the self- care of diabetes patients, and self-care is needed to maximize dia- betes self-management.13 Self-efficacy is a person’s belief in their ability to organize and carry out actions that support their health, which is very necessary for diabetes patients to increase their inde- pendence in managing their disease.24 Blood glucose examination is the main indicator in diabetes management.
