For many years, the OHS held nearly annual meetings called “Reminisce-ins.” In 2012, it was decided to refer to these 
presentations as a “Blast from the Past.” These meetings have been held in conjunction with the annual meetings of the American 
Optometric Association (AOA) or the American Academy of Optometry (AAO). The following is a list of those meetings, their 
locations, the annual meeting during which they occurred (AOA or AAO), the attendance where known, and the speakers. 
At some meetings, there was an open discussion in which attendees shared their historical perspectives and experiences, as 
opposed to one or more scheduled speakers. Attendance was often limited by competition with concurrent lectures or meetings.
