As the temperatures become more mild and new growth appears, we at Hypothesis are pleased to share our March issue with you. Editorial Team Updates It is my distinct pleasure to welcome our newest Editorial Team members: Jennifer L. Dean, who works at the University of Michigan-Flint, Gary S. Atwood , who works at the University of Vermont, and Michael Greenlee, who works for the Detroit Area Library Network at Wayne State University. Jennifer and Gary are joining the Copy-Editing Team and Michael will be assisting us with maintaining and improving the Hypothesis website. Introducing the Brief Reports Submission Category for the Fall issue! As a new and emerging professional, the thought of putting together and then publishing an article seemed both intimidating and potentially insurmountable. My graduate work did not prepare me for entering academia or being in a tenure-track position. The Brief Reports submission category is our solution to these problems. To submit a Brief Report, an author will write and submit a structured manuscript of up to 500 words. The submission should include a separate attachment with Title and Author Information. The format could resemble a Failure, Voices, Research, or Methods Moment submission. We also welcome write-ups from previously presented (or not-presented or accepted) Lightning Talk, Mini-Talk, Poster, Oral Abstract, or Paper Presentations. You can even write up a tool from a My Favorite Tool session! These submissions are peer-reviewed. Pronouns In Spring 2019, I observed people adding pronouns to their signatures and after their names in online meetings. When recruiting study participants or hosting events, I started including a field where attendees could share personal pronouns. In Fall 2021, I began adding my personal pronouns to my email signature and this improved my communications and rapport with colleagues, faculty, staff, and even learners I support. During our November Editorial Team meeting, we discussed the feasibility of adding 1 https://www.orcid.org/0000-0002-9932-3605 https://orcid.org/ mailto:email https://www.orcid.org/0000-0002-9932-3605 https://orcid.org/ https://osf.io/prcz6/ Hypothesis , Vol. 35, No. 1, 2023 pronouns to submissions. We agreed to include them on the submission if authors choose to share this information. On the Editorial Team area of the journal website, we include this information upon request. Many journals are not yet offering this opportunity. We hope our readers will recognize this as one way our journal supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Marketing Updates We encourage you to register as a reader with Hypothesis, which keeps you in the loop, and ensures you are the first to know about any changes. Starting in 2023, our Marketing Team will be posting news and updates on a regular basis. One Year Anniversary I thank you for your continued support of Hypothesis and your patience with me this past year. It is both fun and challenging to serve as your Editor. Margaret A.
