Table(3) shows heavy metals concentrations in River Diyala were within the permissible level of raw surface water (18).Except Pb and Cd which exceed the permissible limits of 0.05ppm and 0.005ppm respectively. Figure(2) shows the variation of heavy metals in sediment for the two periods.
