inforlTial logi~ __ newsletter neweletter newsletter newalet JAN f} 1979 vol. i, no. 2 eds., Ralph H. Johnson & J. Anthony Blair December, 1978 FROM THE EDITORS The early response to the Informal Logic Newsletter has been encouraging. We have received requests for subscriptions from all points in Canada and the United States, and from overseas as well: Germany, Belgium,· Poland, Australia, Lebanon, Argentina, and Israel. Most of the inquiries have been from philosophers but we have also had inquiries from psychologists, mathematicians, and political scientists. Although the trickle has been steady, it's going to have to become more like a stream if we are to continue. This is our .way of saying that we need many more subscribers if we are going to keep this publication afloat. YOU CAN HELP by a) letting your friends and colleagues know about the newsletter and encouraging them to subscribe; b) taking your copy of the newsletter with you when you attend conventions, meetings, etc., especially where topics of interest to us all are being dealt with; c) sending us names of people you think might be interested in subscribing; d) sending ~ your subscription fee if you haven't already done so. In addition to subscriptions, we are also in constant need of material: interesting passages for analysis, news of upcoming events of interest; expository reviews of recent texts. notices of· relevant journal articles, etc. We simply cannot ' generate by ourselves all of the sorts of material which we think people are interested in. The Informal Logic Newsletter is published by the editors, Professors Ralph H. Johnson_and J. Anthony Blair. Subscriptions. Annual subscriptions are $4 for individuals and $8 for institutions.
