Announcement New Notice of Books Received policy Starting with the next issue Vol. 38, No. 3 (September 2018)], Informal Logic will institute a new Notice of Books Received department and policy. At the end of each issue of the journal we will print, and re- print, notices of monographs, collected papers, proceedings of conferences, anthologies and any similar scholarly books (not textbooks) on topics related to informal logic, critical thinking, argument (logic, dialectic, rhetoric) theory or prac- tice. The notice, to be supplied by the author(s) or editor(s) or publisher, may simply describe the work or shamelessly promote it, or both, but must not exceed 150 words. Each notice will be reprinted until four years after the year of the edition of the book was first published. Thus we invite notic- es of works published in 2014 or later. This department of the journal should serve as a resource for researchers want- ing to know about recent work in the field. NOTA BENE: After the presently commissioned reviews will have been published, the journal will no longer print descrip- tive book reviews. A reader may apply to the editors to pub- lish a critical review of a book on the list, and the editors may from time to time commission critical reviews of books on the list.
