41Spring 2006 • Volume 13, Number 2 CAMPUS NOTES Editor’s Perspective David B. Johnson, Senior Associate Editor, Campus Notes I am delighted to serve as the senior associate editor for Campus Notes. This gives me a real opportunity to dialogue with colleagues who have been in the profession for some time and have "something to say" about their orientation experience on their campuses. I hope to hear from those who may not have a full-length journal article written, but who may have a paper or some limited research they would like to write about for the Campus Notes section. In this issue of the Journal, Campus Notes focuses on two distinct topics, both timely for different populations. In the first article, “Facing the Facebook Generation,” the authors discuss ethical decision making and how this impacts student orientation leaders and the professional staff who supervise them. Whether they are music copyright issues, inappropriate student leader behavior, or concerns about online communities, ethical dilemmas face both student leaders and professional staff. The second article is about orientation planning and programming for students who are returning to college. In “Return to Learn,” the author gives details on how her insti- tution works with adult students and returning college students to help them transition to their new environment. I hope you will find these articles to be informative and interesting. I look forward to reading your future Campus Notes submissions.
