“This Opuntia polyacantha was
blooming away on a rocky shore on Jed
Johnson Lake in the Wichita Mountains
Wildlife Refuge. The photo was taken with a
Nikon Coolpix camera about the size of a
deck of cards, and no tripod. Cactus flowers
are wonderful for holding still!”
