The evolution of creativities and innovations in various fields support the creation of various new learning applications that must be known and used by educators, staffs, and students in a university. In addition, online webinars and online learnings have also started to become a new routine or daily activity in the world of education. Every learning application, online webinar, online learning, and other online media generally has a special link where each user must at least remember, record, save, or search for the link through search engines or copy from email or social media chat so that at any time they can access it. The problem is that sometimes due to busy work and age, we often forget to remember these links. Sometimes we remember and record it, but need more time to type it in its long sentence or URL. There are even special links that cannot be searched using the search engines Google, Yahoo, and so on. This will certainly be an obstacle and quite a hassle for educators and education staff, especially if the links that must be accessed are very large, tens or even hundreds of them. This research provides a solution to the above problems by designing a web application that functions as a link organizer that makes it easier for educators, staffs, and students to store learning application links and other important links so that when needed, they just open the web and click the link. which has been saved. This study method such as observation, system design, interface design, application design, and testing of a web application as a link organizer. The results provide positive future works that can be further developed and refined. Keywords—Link, Link Organizer, Web Application, Help Application, Work Application I. INTRODUCTION 1.1 Background Seeing the growing development of learning applications including applications for information system and also the importance of human needs for online learning process during the pandemic and in the new normal era, our research team conducted research related to design a web application as a link organizer for educators, staffs, and students. This web application is considered important and necessary to be conducted immediately because it will greatly facilitate educators and education personnel to store existing links and make them easier to accessed when needed. If we usually use the phone book or contact application on Android to store phone numbers and WA numbers of people we know, then here we will create a web application to store the URL links we need. Naming a link is usually very long and quite a hassle if we have to type it every time, we mailto:lrompis@unikadelasalle.ac.id mailto:akalua@unikadelasalle.ac.id Web Application as a Link Organizer for Educators, Staffs, and Students SISFORMA: Journal of Information Systems (e-Journal) Vol.9 | No 2 |Th. 2022 ISSN 2442-7888 (online) DOI 10.24167/sisforma.v9i2.4422 81 want to access the link. In addition, sometimes as human people often forget and cannot remember much because of the memory limitations. So that is the reason why this research exists. Our research design concept of this paper was viewed from a slightly different side but is expected to provide optimal and useful results. 1.2 Objective This research aims to design a web application as a link organizer to help educators, staffs, and students in storing and processing the essential application links. II. METHODS 2.1 Observation Based on our team observations related to personal experiences in teaching online courses, following webinars, and other online activities, with different subjects during the pandemic, we tried to figure out the urgent needs of educators, staffs, and students and we found that saving many accounts and links was one of a great issue that need solution now or in the future. 2.2 System Design The designed system is a simple but interactive web application functions as a link organizer to help educators, staffs, and students to use it for storing and retrieving links in order to access and open them. 2.3 Interface Design The interface was designed as simple as possible but can fulfill the objective of our research, i.e. build a link organizer for educators, staffs, ad students. We only create maximum 2 (two) pages of website so it will be simple and not too complicated. 2.4 Web Application and Testing This web application made by Informatics Lecturer and Alumni that have related skills and comprehension. The application was created using PHP programming and Vercel App. In system development, developer applied knowledge and and practiced web design skills. III. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION 3.1 Basic Concept In designing the web application as a link organizer, we build the basic concept for system design. The basic concept came from the concept of a phone book but the design was simpler as shown in figure 1. The model of this link organizer concept is functioned for storing application links. The design should be flexible and easier to use, not confusing the user. Figure 1. The Basic Concept of Link Organizer 3.2 The Design and Implementation We design and implement the basic concept into PHP programming language. The look of our interface of link organizer both from admin side and user side can be seen in figure 2 and figure 3. Admin can add an account with the link and also able to edit when there is a changing, or remove it when no longer used. Web Application as a Link Organizer for Educators, Staffs, and Students SISFORMA: Journal of Information Systems (e-Journal) Vol.9 | No 2 |Th. 2022 ISSN 2442-7888 (online) DOI 10.24167/sisforma.v9i2.4422 82 Figure 2.The Display of Application (admin) Currently this web application can only be used by 1 (one) admin as a user for single access. In case we want a collaboration, it can be set by inform the admin username and password to the group, and everyone can access the application and can use the store, edit, or remove features (collaboration works). Figure 3.The Display of Application (user) To know if this web application already suitable for educators, staffs, and especially the students, we distributed a survey using google forms and got various satisfactions and comments as been described in table 1. Table 1.Inputs form Users From the survey, mostly they think the web application link organizer, namely LinkList, already good but need more improvement on its interface and also the functionality. IV. CONCLUSION From our above research and based on the feedback results getting from the distribution survey form, we can conclude that Link Organizer is very helpful and important to help users (educators, staffs, and students) organize the website links. Users were quite enthusiastic and gave inputs for the development of this web application. The implementation of the Link Organizer has succeded as we expected. For future works, further development phase can be build for many admins/users. So each user can have their own account including password for better privacy and security. ACKNOWLEDGMENT Thanks to co-author and Informatics alumni, Refsi Gregory, for the great contribution. Hopefully our works can be more improved in the future and inspire others to help the online education and people self-management.
