5 10 YEARS OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AT BABES-BOLYAI UNIVERSITY, CLUJ-NAPOCA Transylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences, 18 E/2006, pp. 5-10 Fall 2006: The Public Administration Department, Faculty of Political Sciences, Public Administration, and Communication celebrates 10 years of existence. The department will organize an international conference called “The contribution of higher education in the field of public administration to the reform of public administration”. Thus, from October 6th to October 11th the foreign partners who have contributed over the years to the development of the department will attend the conference. Professors from various universities in the US are expected to attend this conference: Michigan State University, State University of New York, University of Delaware, Florida International University, San Diego University, Eastern Michigan University, Smithsonian Institute, National Academy for Public Administration (Washington, DC), and NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration, Washington, DC). The interest showed by the Public Administration Department with regard to common research programs and collaboration generate an important presence from the European Universities as well: Leiden University, Birghmingam University, National Academy for Public Administration Viena, Budapest University, Bruxelles University, Genoa University, National Academy for Public Administration Kiev, Leuven University, NISPAcee (Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe), EGPA (European Group for Public Administration), EPAN (European Public Administration Network), ASIAP (Association of Schools and Institutes in Public Administration in Romania).
